Black Stars

VP Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has complimented the Black Stars of Ghana on their hard-battled 1-0 triumph over South Africa in the penultimate phase of the FIFA World Cup on Sunday evening at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

Andre Dede Ayews expertly taken spot-kick in the 33rd moment was sufficient to hand Ghana a spot in the end of the season games to pursue for a space in the Mundial one year from now in Qatar.

Congrats to the Black Stars for fixing Group G to meet all requirements for the World Cup end of the season games following a hard-battled triumph over South Africa, he said.

Going into the game, the Bafana chaps just required a draw or stay away from rout having finished off the gathering with 13 focuses to advance to the following stage, yet were denied the chance by Ghana away from home.

He said, “Sorry to Bafana Bafana for missing the play-off by a whisker.”

Ghana advanced over South Africa with a goal advantage and would be among the 10 countries that would slug it out in the play-offs.
